Flag football is a collaborative venture started in 2016 between Aroostook Huskies Football and SAD 1 for kids going into the 1st - 6th grades. Both organizations are eager to see this program provide a new outlet for the kids of central Aroostook County. While Aroostook Huskies looks to build on the success of its middle school and high school programs, having a flag football program that teaches kids about the sport while instilling life lessons along the way will only create an environment that kids can return to year after year throughout their entire school career. After three years of steady growth in this wildly popular program, the pandemic sidelined us in 2020. Subsequently, we have come back strong on our new football field! In 2023, about 90 kids participated in the program. We hope to do even better in 2024. We will be reaching out to more towns in hopes of growing the league and actually breaking the league into more age appropriate divisions. 2024 SEASON
The 2024 Season is fast approaching! Please make sure to register you child (using the registration tab at the top) if you would like them to play. The earlier the better so that we can make sure we have enough coaches to instruct your child.
On May 8th, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm we will have a parent's night in the Edmund's Conference Room at Northern Maine Community College. We encourage all parents to attend.
The season will start the night of June 4, 2024. It will run every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00 - 7:30pm until July 25, 2024.
