There are several major events going on this spring.
On Wednesday, May 22nd, we are having a dual purpose meeting at 7:00 PM in Folsom 105 on the UMPI campus. The first part of the meeting is for recruiting players (both middle school and high school) from SAD 1 schools (since we aren't allowed to come to their schools). The second part of the meeting is for all Huskies and their parents; this is a very important meeting to discuss formation of an official Booster group to help make our program all it should be. PLEASE make every effort to attend (and bring your folks).
On Saturday, May 25th, we are hosting a great night of entertainment on the UMPI campus (Weiden Auditorium) at 7:00 PM. Featured will be Molly Bouchard (current Miss Maine), Hannah Patterson (current Miss Presque Isle), Heather Rose and Megan Ouellette (finalists in the Northern Star competition), Josh Doughty and Dan Rooney (from the popular local group Rooney and the Revolvers), Robert Helstrom (music teacher and former professional singer in California and Nevada), Malari Page of Caribou, Jonathan Guimond (a 6th grade saxophone prodigy from Fort Fairfield) and Stu Wyckoff (Huskies head coach). It will be a great evening!!
On Friday, June 21, and continuing over to Saturday, June 22, we are holding our Summer Clinic. This is a great chance for returning players to brush up on skills and for new players to meet the guys and see if football's for them. The clinic, free of charge, is open to anyone who will be in 7th - 12th grade in the fall. Contact Stu Wyckoff to participate.
That same Saturday evening, we will host an alumni tackle football game at Sincock Field. A $2 admission fee lets you come out and see who still has it! Contact Taylor DeFelice to sign up for this event.
On Sunday, June 23rd, we will host our first annual 8 - on - 8 Coed Flag Football Tournament. This double elimination event should be a lot of fun. Registration will be limited to the first eight teams to turn in the $150 registration fee. Interested teams should inquire by leaving a message at the "Contact Us" link on the left.
Huskies, remember that this is your team. Help us make these events big successes. Everyone benefits from this.
